We just received our 12" Deluxe Memory Foam Mattress for Adjustable Bed Base. We ordered 2 twin XL. They were delivered in multiple layers of protective wrapping. When we opened the packages the mattresses were about 2" thick. We set them on their side in our living room and by the next day, they were fully expanded to the 12". We did not notice any odors or smells coming from the mattresses. The covers that are already zipped on expanded to their full capacity. We couldn't wait to put them on our bed and try them out. They are firm but support every area of your body; not like the toppers we bought from the discount store. You lay on top of the mattess with support all over your body. The toppers we bought from the discount store were like sleeping on a marshmallow. You sunk in and could hardly get out of bed. On the bottom of theses mattresses are little pill-like skids to keep the mattress from slipping and they work well.We have had the first good night sleep in a long time. Hubby and I bought a king-sized adjustable bed (with two extra-long twin mattresses) years ago. I love the "adjustable" part due to a bad back, but I've never been happy with the mattresses.
